SUSHI!!!

Katie came home the other day from work visually VERY excited about something that she had just purchased. She was jumping up and down, clapping her hands together and giggling like a school girl.
Let me preface with a little recent history. Katie & I have recently discovered the joy of Sushi and actually really like to eat it when we feel like something lighter but not in the mood for salads. So we've been trying a bunch of different places in Provo (not exactly the sushi capitol of the world, we know) but like the sushi at Azuka in Provo near the Olive Garden. We ate it for the first time on Valentines Day with friends from work, and have probably had it about ten times since. Yeah, you could say we've gotten attached to it.
So anyways Katie went to the store on her way back from work and found sticky rice, seaweed sheets, rolled crab, and avacado. You can already see why she was so excited; that's right! HOME MADE SUSHI!!! (Note: We did not make the sushi above. The Archibald Sushi is pictured below. Prepared to be amazed)

Now, we didn't have a bamboo roller, so we used "quick-release" tin foil to roll it, and we chilled the rice before we rolled it, so it would be "stickier". We did everything that we could think of, BUT we couldn't figure out how to get a CLEAN cut!!! So we kept trying and, even though it doesn't look so pretty, this was the finished product:

Here's a video of Katie eating our FIRST HOME MADE SUSHI!!!
video

Yeah... it kept falling apart, the crab was crap, and the seaweed was TOO sea-ey. All in all, we'll stick to the stuff at the restaurant!

Thanks for the feedback on the bathroom. I appreciate the honesty.

Did I mention I love your wife? And her mad cooking skills? The video of her eating sushi makes me smile...she looks so happy!
